The Essence of the GLN Cell Church Model
It is a biblical model that:
- Releases the five-fold ministries to equip God's people, and
- Equips the people to fulfil the ministry of reconciliation.
The result is a church that is aligned to God's divine order given in Ephesians 4:11-16 (emphasis added):
It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
A church
where God's people are living out the Great Commandments and the Great Commission
where 1 Peter 2:9 becomes a reality.
"For you are a chosen people..."
A church where every believer lives with a sense of destiny, fulfilling God's call and purpose for them wherever they may be - in their family, workplace or school.
"... a royal priesthood..."
A church where believers are released to serve God and people - actively praying for, winning and nurturing people to bring them back to God.
"... a holy nation..."
A church where everyone is set free to grow in godly character and being transformed to be like Christ.
